Caring for the pygmy goats is such an essential task that it may hamper the full growth of the species. It is not much tough as everyone think if some points are kept in mind while raising the goats. Raise them in a barbed land that is enough for their safety. It may be of wire or simply a boundary wall. For their better caring, they should be left to roam freely in the pastureland.

In fact, pygmy goats should be kept under the concrete roofs so that they mat not get deprived of a sound sleep. If they will sleep in the wet place, the goats will suffer with hoof problems. They must have a proper place that is raised and dry to sleep. In other words, the shelter of the pygmy goats should be up to the mark.

As far as the matter of feeding of the dwarf goats is concerned, it is of utmost importance. Feeding habits and the facility of the diet that is being provided to them makes them beautiful, fleshy and healthier. The diet should contain grains, green pastures and the fresh supply of water so that they may grow faster and in an amicable environment.

Also, the diet should be controlled and if you wish there should be proper supervision of the diet maintenance of the goats. Vitamins, minerals, tree barks, vegetables and fruits should also be provided in their nutrient fulfillment diet.

Apart from these, hoof trimming and worming is must for the goats. Hoof trimming is essential because it protects the goats’ feet that may result in splayed toes, lameness and foot rot. Pregnant does should be wormed before they give birth to child baby and the new born child should not be separated from the mother. Hoof trimming should be done on the monthly basis and on the other hand, worming annually. If the caretaker wishes, annual vaccinations are also available in the market to maintain a good health.

You should brush them with hard-wire brush so that they may be freed from the insects. In certain cases you may use tattoos to identify a particular goat if it wanders here and there or if the goat is suffering from any serious illness or disease. Following each of the above instructions, dwarf goats can be cared in the best way keeping in view their development, safety and proper growth.
